Modern Master Bath / Half-Bath, South Lebanon

The master bath of this 1980’s home needed a complete update, and Michael created this sleek room to reflect the owner’s modern vision and taste. The old tub was replaced with a Jacuzzi customized with a DVD player and a TV. Two mismatched sinks became two beautiful modern green glazed sinks with black cabinets. He inserted a wall to offset the toilet for more privacy. The old shower tiles were left intact and tiled over with Tuscan brown Travertine tiles with a built-in shampoo niche. The whole room was completed with a newly tiled radiant heat floor. The last two photos are of the home’s downstairs half-bath which received a similar update with a new sink cabinet, fixtures, and black marble floor.

Historic B&B, Annville

This bathroom remodel preserves originality while improving functionality. For the comfort and convenience of their clientele when converting this historic property into a bed and breakfast, the owners brought the home into the 21st century but kept the old charm. In this bathroom, Michael left the unique original wall tiles intact and created a new “pinwheel” style tile floor, the aqua square tiles selected to match the original wall color, each one individually set.  The original tub was painstakingly cleaned and regrouted, as were all the walls, and the radiator beautifully powder-coated for lasting preservation. The interior of the original medicine cabinet was also powder-coated, the original pedestal sink preserved, and a new toilet and lighting installed. The tiled “T” in the personalized closet (the owner’s last initial) was the final touch.

Rustic Wood A-Frame, Duncannon

This 1950’s Sears and Roebuck catalog A-frame home is a true original, and needed a bathroom upgrade to compliment its unique interior. Michael gutted the entire bathroom, except for the paneled walls and door, and flip-flopped the basic layout. He created a custom sink cabinet from pine to match the walls and provide maximum storage. New light fixtures, mirror, and sink were installed to finish that space. The door was refinished and brought back to its original beauty. A new Jacuzzi tub surrounded by custom porcelain tile combined with a new radiant heat floor for those cold winter mornings completes this blending of old and new.

Kids Bath, Palmyra

This simple makeover of a child’s bath was accomplished by upgrading and doubling up. The single sink, mirror, and light were replaced by two of everything, complimented by a spacious cabinet and marble counter with custom tile backsplash. The original floor was preserved and modified to accommodate the new cabinet footprint.

The master bath in this lovely house in Spring Hill Acres had a typical 20+ year-old cramped fiberglass stall shower in need of an update. The fiberglass body and frosted door were removed. The upper drywall was cut to the new shower height. The floor drain was moved to the center, new valves were installed, and the vent line was moved to accommodate the shampoo niche. A rubber shower pan was cut to fit. A corner ledge of granite was created, the porcelain tile walls were done, and the Travertine floor set. A new, frameless, glass door was hung giving these owners a more spacious, attractive new shower that is a pleasure to use.
