70's Ranch, Grantville |
Nothing adds value to a home like an upgraded kitchen. The kitchen of this 1970’s ranch house was outdated and dowdy. The owner wanted to keep the L-shaped configuration but give it a new, light, Tuscan feel. Original cabinet frames were left intact with the doors, drawers, and counters replaced. Michael created custom drawers and a pullout spice rack, added butcher-block maple counter tops, and installed under the counter lighting. The tiles selected were hand painted sunflower ceramics surrounded by earth-tone tiles hand cut to fit, accented by a metallic border. The olive green doors and panels complete the Tuscany look. Michael pulled together all of these details, plus new appliances, a custom wine rack, and a radiant heat floor to give this owner the kitchen of her dreams. |
A-Frame, Duncannon |
This kitchen received a minor facelift in keeping with the home’s wood-themed interior and exterior. Michael refinished the maple counters, rebuilt the cabinets to accommodate the new microwave, and installed new under the counter lighting. Click Here To See A Slide Show Of This Project!

Family Home, Hershey |
The doctor who owns this Hershey bungalow needed a kitchen upgrade that could accommodate him, his wife, and their three sons for the long haul. The new glass tile is easy to clean, the trashcan hidden in the new, white, custom cabinet keeps trash out of sight, and the new honed, black marble counters update the look. Under the counter lighting sets everything off. Michael used his expert carpentry skills to rebuild the cabinets to accommodate the new refrigerator. Click here To See A Slide Show Of This Project!

Southern California Bungalow, North Hollywood, CA |
Finished before his relocation to central Pennsylvania, Michael gave this
kitchen in a 1920’s San Fernando Valley bungalow an extensive upgrade. The
interior was gutted, all electrical rewired, and the old floor removed. New
custom maple cabinets were complimented with granite countertops. New
appliances were ordered and installed, and the new tile floor was laid. The
owners provided the tiles for the oven backsplash and walls, and then went on
vacation. While they were away, Michael cut and created this beautiful
arrangement of hand-painted Gingko tiles from Pasadena, surrounded by gray
ceramic squares. All work from beginning to end in this upgrade was done by
Michael.
